Denasia Strickland
Dance Instructor/Brooklyn Site

My name is Denasia Strickland-Moore. I am a dance choreographer and instructor. At the age if 18 I have already had the honor of working in the Martha Graham Dance Company, headlining acts for several huge events like the international World of Dance Tour in San Diego and opened for artists like as Diggy Simmons, son of Russell Simmons. Dance is my life. I love teaching it almost as much as I love being taught and tackling new styles of dance. I have worked with many different age groups and possess versatility and diversity in many different styles of dance. Alongside dance I have also found a love for teaching step, drama, and youth empowerment and enrichment activities. I enjoy serving as a mentor or just that someone that children feel extremely comfortable around. I am for certain this is a love I will have for the rest of my life. Being able to teach has only helped to keep my passion alive through the many different and diverse activities I share with children day after day.

Denasia Works with The Blossom Sisters Foundation Workshops in Brooklyn. She was born and raised in Parkslope Brooklyn.

  Wayne Pretlow
Drama Instructor

Actor/Singer was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and  is the youngest of 5 children. He discovered his passion for the stage at the age of 5, much to the credit of his older Sister, who discovered the twinkle in his eye when he was brought on stage during her High School production of Hair and as the saying goes...A HAM was born..... his Sister would then become his first voice teacher/acting coach.

While attending Elementary School, his love for performing never wained as he joined the "Soprano" section of his elementary school glee club. Considered by most of his Teachers to be shy, Pretlow surprised many when he auditioned for the role of the Minister in the Schools Black History Month play, his audition so amazed his Teacher that he "got the part", and so it began. Pretlow auditioned and was part of many Summer Theater plays under the direction of the late Ellie Kurth; who was a teacher in his elementary School, and musical director Patricia Edge, who would then become his first legitimate voice teacher.
Recently Wayne co-starred as Hank on the CBS Drama The Good Wife; and has also guest starred on the second season of the HBO series The Sopranos, Law & Order SVU and the original Law & Order on NBC, as well as starring in the Independent film short In Retrospect, directed by Logan Coles.

Wayne is Please to Join to Blossom Family!
