BLOSSOM SISTERS FOUNDATION, A DANCE PROGRAM FOR OUR YOUTH
Blossom Sisters Foundation (a not-for-profit organization), is a dance art program that enables children ages 3 through 18 the opportunity to participate in dance programs in their community regardless of income. Blossom Sisters Foundation is a division of Blossom Dance, LLC, located in Hackensack, NJ. The program offers satellite and on-site dance enrichment programs such as Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Drama classes to children of socio-economic families who are unable to afford dance art programs in their community. Our dance art programs are designed to teach students the fundamentals of dance and acting, while fostering creativity and building self esteem all in an electrifying environment. Blossom Sisters has collaborated with local recreational centers, public and charter school systems to extend our programs to all communities.
Recent Developments:
Blossom Sisters Foundation (BSF) recently hosted a 6 week drama program on 4/11, taught by professional actors Sherri Pullum and Wayne Peltrow. The program was hosted out of the Fannie Hillers Elementary School in Hackensack, NJ. Special thanks to Principal, Dr. Padovano and Greg Liosi, Director of the Hackensack Recreation Center. We are scheduled to have another drama program this Fall 2011. Please check your local school for updates.
On May 8, BSF sponsored two students to the see the New Jersey Ballet, Swan Lake at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ.
On June 25, BSF will host their 1 benefit concert in Teaneck, NJ at the Benjamin Franklin Middle School at 6pm. All proceeds will help fund dance programs in urban communities in the NJ (Bergen and Passaic) and New York (Brooklyn & Harlem) areas.
